Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Your email address, when you sign up to be notified about Cule. That is the only personal detail we ask you for.
• Anonymous usage statistics (page views, referrer, rough location by country, device and browser type) via Vercel Web Analytics. This is aggregated and not used to identify you.
• Anonymous product events (counts of actions like downloads, signups and template installs), through the same analytics, so we can see what is actually useful.

Cookies

We keep cookies to a minimum. Our analytics is cookieless. The only cookie we set is a single first-party cookie, cule_ref, that remembers which link or campaign brought you here (for example a utm_source such as "reddit"), so we can tell which channels work. It stores only that label, is never shared, is not used to track you across other websites, and expires after about 60 days. We use no third-party, advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Why we use it

• Your email: only to email you about Cule, such as launch news and product updates. The legal basis is your consent, given when you submit the form, which you can withdraw at any time.
• Analytics and attribution: to understand how many people visit, what they do, and which channels bring them, so we can improve Cule. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running and improving the site, kept minimal and privacy-friendly.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Who helps us process it

We use a few service providers, acting on our instructions:

• Resend stores the mailing list and sends our emails.
• Vercel hosts the site and provides the anonymous analytics.
• GitHub hosts the app downloads and templates. When you download Cule or open a template, you are sent to GitHub, which receives that request under its own privacy policy.

These providers are US-based and may process data outside the EU, under appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

• Your email: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe link.
• The attribution cookie: about 60 days, then it expires on its own.
• Analytics: aggregated and not tied to you.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data, or withdraw your consent at any time. Email privacy@getcule.com and we will sort it out. You can also complain to your local data protection authority (in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
